Six Softball Scots Shine in CCS All-Conference Awards

ATLANTA, Ga. - Six Scots have earned All-CCS Honors after a terrific first season under head coach Bayleigh Masterson. 

Two Scots were named to the All-CCS First Team - Sophomores Caiti Zani and Sydney Dickinson.  

Zani has been a dominant force for the Scots, posting a .385 batting average across 46 hits (6th in CCS), with a .711 slugging percentage (4th in CCS). In the box, Zani has totaled 46 hits (6th in CCS), 35 RBIs (5th in CCS), 32 runs scored (8th in CCS). While batting, Zani has also posted 13 doubles (2nd in CCS) and 10 home runs (2nd in CCS). In the outfield, Zani has a fielding percentage of .947, successfully adding 54/57 chances to her record.

Dickinson has been one of the most crucial pieces for the team throughout the season. In the DP position, Dickinson has earned a batting average of .443 on the season (2nd in CCS), while maintaining a slugging percentage of .896 (1st in CCS), and a OPS percentage of 1.384 (2nd in CCS). Dickinson is leading the CCS in RBIs (43) and home runs (11) while sitting in the top ten in runs scored (38) (6th in CCS), hits (47) (5th in CCS). Outside of her ranked stats, Dickinson has added 85 bases, 10 walks, eight doubles, and two triples to Maryville's cause.

The All-CCS second team sees four more Scots - Seniors Paige Dickinson, Jessica Harris, and Emma Blankenship, along with Sophomore Sydney Dickinson

Dickinson has had a stellar performance in her senior season campaign. She has a batting average of .333, posting 21 walks (3rd in CCS), nine doubles, one triple, and four home runs (8th in CCS), and scoring 40 runs (1st on team; 1st in CCS). On the defensive side of the ball, Dickinson is leading the team with 174 putouts (4th in CCS).

Harris has played a big role in Maryville's success in her final season. Hitting .310 at the plate, she has tallied 31 hits, posting seven doubles, one triple, and 19 RBIs. At second base, Harris has had 69 putouts and 47 assists (9th in CCS) across 122 chances.

Senior Emma Blankenship has been a leadoff standout for the Scots, with 129 at-bats (1st in CCS), Blankenship is hitting .331, racking up 41 hits, 35 runs, 19 RBIs, and four triples (fourth in CCS). In the grass, Blankenship is tied in the conference for first in fielding percentage (1.000), posting 62 putouts across 61 chances. 

Junior Jenna Simms was named to the CCS All-Sportsmanship team. Sims has exemplified outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season, representing the team with integrity, respect, and leadership. Whether on the field or in the dugout, Sims consistently demonstrates a team-first attitude, supporting her teammates while competing with professionalism against every opponent. Her positive presence, composure in high-pressure moments, and commitment to the spirit of the game have made her a valuable representative of the Scots program. Sims' character and respect for the game embody the values of the conference and make her a deserving selection for the Sportsmanship Award.

The Scots are currently competing in the CCS Tournament and just won their second-round matchup against top-seed Belhaven.
