Box Score The Maryville College women's soccer program dropped a tough 1-0 decision to Randolph-Macon College in Fredericksburg, Virginia on Saturday afternoon.
MC took the match to 0-0 at the intermission but Gabby Nelson snuck and unassisted goal past MC keeper Mandy Marshall in the 68th minute, midway through the final period.
Randolph-Macon out-shot the Scots 8-7 with R-M attacking the goal on three occasions. Only a pair of MC's seven shots were on goal with Yellow Jacket keeper Christina Newman earning the shutout and victory in goal.
Maryville (0-2) will now prepare for weekend host the University of Mary Washington. The pair of NCAA Division III foes will face off Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
