SAVANNAH, Ga. – Jacob Dunlap saved his best round for last on Tuesday, leading Maryville to a third-place finish at the Port City Invitational at the Savannah Country Club.
The Scots shot 923 and 71 over par across three rounds over their two days in Georgia.
Dunlap shot a team-low 75 and four over par on Day 2, beating his round one score of 76 at five over par by one stroke. He finishes the Invitational tied for 13th, shooting 228 and 15 over par across three rounds.
Colin McCabe was the next low scorer for Maryville. He shot a 76 and five over par to finish tied for 10th place.
Tristen Evans shot a 77 on Tuesday and finished at 231 and 18 over par. Rounding out the scoring for MC was
Colton Novotny, who shot an 84 to finish tied for 43rd at 238 and 25 over par. Completing the lineup for the Scots was
Reid Woods who shot 86 to finish tied for 84th at 257 and 44 over par.
Roanoke's Palmer Cuny was the low scorer for the tournament, shooting 219 and six over par across 54 holes. LaGrange carried their Day 1 leader into Day 2, finishing in first place after shooting 907 and 55 over par.
The Scots are back in action on Sunday at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate Tournament in Sevierville.
