MARYVILLE, Tenn. - Maryville College women's soccer celebrated its eight seniors in style on Saturday afternoon, delivering a commanding 9–1 victory over Huntingdon at the MC Soccer Complex.
Before kickoff, the Scots honored Olivia Norris, Chloe Chase, Madalyn McCall, Elle Fair, Emma Robertson, Anabelle Procter, Hannah Smoot, and Avery Brown for their leadership and dedication over the past four years. Together, this group has built a remarkable legacy—compiling 42 wins, three regular-season conference titles, two tournament championships, and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, all while earning four consecutive United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards.
The celebration carried over onto the field, as Maryville wasted no time asserting control. Avery Brown opened the scoring in the 18th minute off an assist from Madison McDonald, and just three minutes later Anabelle Procter buried a penalty kick to make it 2–0. The Scots continued their offensive surge with goals from Hannah Smoot and Anne Marie Konieczny, building a 4–0 advantage by halftime.
The second half brought more fireworks. Katie Cotten, Procter again, Chloe Chase, Katie Corley, and Sadie Phelan each found the back of the net as the Scots' depth overwhelmed Huntingdon. In total, Maryville fired 43 shots, forcing the Hawks' goalkeeper into 12 saves.
Smoot shined with a goal and two assists, while Procter tallied a brace and Brown, Chase, Corley, Cotten, Konieczny, and Phelan all contributed goals in the balanced attack. Goalkeepers Kristen Burns and Trinity Atkinson combined for six saves, holding Huntingdon to just one penalty-kick goal in the 73rd minute.
It was a fitting Senior Day sendoff for a class that has left an indelible mark on the program. Their example of commitment, leadership, and passion for the game was on full display, not only in the pregame ceremony but in the dominant performance that followed.
Maryville improves to 4–5 overall and 2–0 in conference play, riding strong momentum into the heart of the CCS schedule.
