Box Score The Maryville College baseball team dropped their series finale to North Carolina Wesleyan by the score of 10-1 to conclude a key USA South series.
Bishop hurler Hatteras Brooks kept MC hitters off balance the entire afternoon tossing a complete game four hitter to earn his third win on the mound for the season. Brooks struck out nine Scots working ahead of the hitter and making them chase numerous curveballs out of the zone.
Wesleyan's offense used a 14 hits attack led by Hayden Williams going 4-for-5 with three runs scored. Justin DiSanto, Ciro Norzagaray, and Jake Alexander each pounded out a pair of hits for the Bishops (11-16, 8-7 USA South).
MC's Nick Dean was the only Scot with multiple hits after going 2-for-4 on the afternoon. Chris Sutherland suffered the loss after scattering 11 hits in 7.1 innings of work.
The Scots (10-11, 7-8 USA South) will host Centre College for a mid-week non-conference challenge on Tuesday and Wednesday this week on MC's Scotland Yard.
