Box Score The Scots post a shutout with a 4-0 win over conference foe William Peace at home Friday night.
Maryille College women's soccer team posted a shutout against the Pacers of William Peace to begin conference play. The Scots can attribute the win to great defense only allowing one shot on goal while the offensive attack recorded 25 shots on goal. Maryville recorded 43 total shots to William Peace's 1 shot.
Offensively the Scots were lead by Junior forward Sierra Siegel from Valrico, FL recording all four goals in tonight's contest. Siegel put the Scots on the board first scoring on an unassisted goal in the 19th minute. Assisted by Lizzy Simmons, Siegel would find the net again in the 28th minute of the contest with Maryville heading into the half up 2-0. In the second half Siegel scored her 3rd goal of the game in the 67th minute collecting the hat trick. Sierra would score yet again on a cross from Kaitlyn Kennedy recording her 4th goal of the game and 6th on the season putting the Pacers away for a 4-0 victory.
Maryville will play again in a conference bout at home on Sunday at 4:30pm.
