Box Score The Maryville College women's soccer program lost their third consecutive match of the season by shutout after the University of Mary Washington Eagles defeated the Scots 3-0 on Sunday afternoon in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Mary Washington's Maryfay Jackson found Emily Arbisi at the 4:27 mark in the first half with the eventual game-winning goal. Just over three minutes later, Jackson once again assisted on an Eagle goal passing to Christina Carlston.
At the half, Maryville trailed 2-0 with Mary Washington out shooting MC 7-1.
The weekend hosts tacked on an insurance goal just before the 50th minute when Corinne Cason deposited an unassisted goal past MC keeper Mandy Marshall. Marshall recorded four saves for Maryville in the net.
Mary Washington's Madeline Duvall earned the victory and shutout in net saving Maryville's only shot on goal by Natasha Enrique.
The Scots fall to 0-3 on the season and will prepare for USA South foe Salem College. MC will host the Spirit at 6:30 p.m on Friday evening on MC's campus pitch.
