CCS Release
MARYVILLE – Maryville's
Sierra Lee and
Elle Fair are two of this week's honorees for Collegiate Conference of the South Women's Soccer awards.
The Scots duo helped Maryville defeat Asbury and Piedmont in shutout victories to cap an 8-0-0 run through the CCS regular season. Maryville is the top seed in the women's conference tournament and plays Nov. 6 at home in the semifinals.
Lee scored three of the team's four goals last week. She netted the match's only goal in the 22nd minute of a 1-0 victory over Asbury, then followed up with two early goals in Maryville's 3-0 win at Piedmont.
The Gallatin senior has scored a career-high 14 goals this season and is up to 44 for her time in a Scots uniform. Lee scored in every conference match in 2024, totaling 10 goals against conference opponents.
Fair anchored Maryville's defense in the back-to-back shutouts. The junior defender helped the Scots allow just four shots in a 1-0 win against Asbury and 10 shots in a 3-0 win at Piedmont. The junior defender also contributed offensively, assisting on the third goal at Piedmont.
Maryville for the season has posted five shutouts – all in the month of October.
Next Wednesday's start time at the MC Soccer Complext is 7 p.m.
