A four-year starter for the Scots, Nicole Samples established herself as one of the most reliable and impactful players in Maryville College women's soccer history. Her consistency and leadership on the field were central to the program's success throughout her four years.
Samples is remembered as a teammate who helped shape the culture of Maryville soccer. She recalls her favorite memories not just in the victories, but in the experiences shared with her team. From the challenges of her first preseason runs to the unforgettable road trips and rap songs, to bonding moments like learning to quilt during J-term. Even after graduation, she continued to stay connected with the program, traveling with the team to Europe where the players nicknamed her "grandma." During her time at Maryville, Samples undoubtedly made her mark as one of the best women's soccer players to play on the field.Â
